Tyson Fury’s dad has advised Joshua about fighting his son claiming he will be making a big mistake.

Both British fighters are set to trade blows following Fury’s dominant display against Deontay Wilder in their rematch.

But Fury’s father has warned Joshua to stay clear of his son that he will be misery when they clash.

“You’re a nice guy. You look well, you’ve got a big future but when it comes down to the beating, fighting lion heart I don’t think you’ve got it.

“So, don’t mess with Tyson Fury. Keep your belts, go and fight other people but don’t mess with Tyson unless it’s worth your while, because let me tell you it’ll be the last time you ever box if you mess with him.

“He will wreck you! [He is a] 19 stone, 6ft 9in wrecking machine who will not stop coming forward but he’ll come forward at you educated and he’ll punish you and he’ll school you and he’ll break your heart.

“He’ll make your life a misery and your life will never be the same again. So, think about. Eddie Hearn that’s to you as well,” he told IFL TV.

But Frank Warren has stated that he hopes Wilder can step aside for the showdown between the two heavyweight Brits to happen.

“I prefer to go straight to Joshua but that’s the contract,” Warren told the BBC. “If he insists on the fight, we’re locked into it.

“It has to be honored unless we reach some accommodation for him to step aside. We could pay him to step aside if he wants to do that, but that’s his choice.

“It would be lucrative for him, but I have spoken to his manager and Deontay does believe he has the beating of Tyson, and he can knock him out.

“I don’t believe that. I fancied Tyson to stop him before the fight at the weekend.”

Wilder has just three weeks to trigger the rematch clause in his contract – but Fury’s promoter Frank Warren hopes he can convince the American to step aside.
