Two OAU Students Commit Suicide

The Obafemi Awolowo University community has been left in a state of shock following the death of two students.

Two students of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) community have reportedly committed suicide.

The two undergraduates are from the faculty of Administration. According to InsideOAU, a 200 level student of the Business administration Department, identified as Emmanuel, allegedly drank a poisonous substance called “Sniper” to end his own life.

Inside OAU media gathered that the deceased was rushed to OAU health center via an ambulance, but he was brought in dead; had given up the ghost.

It was also reported that another part 4 student of OAU, from the department of management and accounting, faculty of administration, whose name hasn’t been known yet, committed suicide earlier today and was rushed to the health center. Unfortunately, his life was also lost in the process.

This has led to a protest on OAU campus this morning as students find it very strange and sudden.
