An unspecified number of students of Green Field University in Kaduna state have been abducted by unknown gunmen.

The gunmen stormed the school located along the Kaduna-Abuka Highway in Chikun Local Government Area on Tuesday night, April 20, shooting sporadically before whisking some of the students away.

The state commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident and said efforts are being made to rescue the abducted students.

This comes weeks after over thirty students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization school were abducted on March 21. Some of the abducted students are yet to regain their freedom.
