Terrorists who attacked the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) barracks in Afaka, Kaduna State, on Tuesday August 25, reportedly broke into five flats.

Information gathered revealed that the terrorists operated successfully because troops did not respond to distress call on time.

It read;

“The response time of troops to the crime scene on that day was slow as the insurgents successfully broke into five different flats in the same block and swiftly withdrew before the intervention of troops.”

Two senior officers were shot dead while a major was abducted in the incident. Another officer who sustained injuries is currently being treated in the hospital.

General Lucky Irabor, who has since visited the scene, described the attack as “madness”.
