Sanwo-Olu, Jandor Sympathise With Davido Over Son’s Death

Singer, Davido has been urged to be strong following the sad death of his son, Ifeanyi.


The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu and the Lagos State governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, Adul-Azeez Adediran aka Jandor both sent their condolences to singer and fiancée, Chioma.

This followed the death of three-year-old Ifeanyi who reportedly drowned in the swimming pool in the singer’s residence on Monday night.

Although, the Lagos State Police Command through its Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of eight domestic staff at Davido’s residence, the couple are yet to make an official statement regarding the tragic incidence.

Both the governor, who is running for a second term and Jandor, who is seeking to take over from Sanwo-olu sent their condolences via their Instagram pages.

Sanwo-olu said, “Death leaves a heartache no words can fill. And today I express my deepest condolences to Davido and Chioma over the death of their beloved son.

“Ifeanyi was undoubtedly loved by his parents and family. I pray that the good Lord grants them strength as you go through this difficult period.

“My thoughts and prayers are with you.”

The PDP governorship candidate wrote, “Losing a child is every family’s worst nightmare. It is even more devastating when you’re in the public sphere.

“David Adeleke has been a source of joy, pride and comfort through his music, philanthropy and commitment to truth and justice. I pray for David and Chioma as they process this inestimable loss of their son Ifeanyi.

“I urge everyone to respect his privacy during this period and honour the memory of his loving child.”

The running mate to the PDP Lagos governorship candidate, Funke Akindele, also gave her condolence via Instagram.

The actress said, “May the little champ’s soul rest in peace. Oh Lord please comfort the hearts of Chioma, Davido and their families.”
