President Buhari’s Daughter Bags New Appointment

Fatima Buhari, the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari has been appointed as a member of the board of trustees of the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Examiners of Nigeria (CIFCFEN).

The investiture which took place recently at ANAN House, Abuja, also witnessed the second direct induction of 17 members to the institute.Speaking at the ceremony, CIFCFEN’s President, Iliyasu Gashinbaki, said Buhari joined the board with a wealth of experience garnered from the public sector and international organisations.“She has been engaged in working in the development space and extensive experience with development partners.

“With the wisdom of the board, we found it necessary for more women to be admitted to the board. This is in tandem with international best practices of having gender balance on every board and we want to lead by example,” he said.According to a statement issued by the institute.

Buhari holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; postgraduate in account and finance from Stratford College of Business and Management UK; master’s in business administration from Anglia Ruskin University, UK; and master’s in human resource management from the University of Northampton, UK.

The development expert is a fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

On her part, Buhari thanked the institute for considering her worthy of the appointment and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in her.CIFCFEN was established by ANAN to provide core professionals in the specialised fields of forensic accounting and fraud examination in Nigeria.

Hanan outdid her peers when she received an award for her Fine Art Photography (Masters) degree in the USA.

On her verified Instagram page on Tuesday, June 29, praised Ms Buhari Hanan for making the president’s family proud. The First Lady also wished her daughter and “all graduation sets from 2021 more blessings and a better future”.
