Emmanuel Garba and Alheri Emmanuel who are the parents of martyred 200 level Home Economics student of Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto, Deborah Yakubu, have revealed that they have handed everything over to God.
They said:
“We can’t say or do anything, except to take it easy as an act of God. We have left all to God, we have decided to take it like that.”
Deborah was asked to apologize on her department’s WhatsApp group by her Islamist classmates for saying Jesus made her pass her exams but she refused which led to her classmates accusing her of blaspheming their religious founder Muhammed.
Her Islamic classmates now dragged her out with the help of others and stoned her after which they burnt her to death in one of the most cruel, babaric, cold-blooded, callous, draconian, depraved, ruthless, vicious, barbarous, inhuman, sadistic and nefarious scenes.
Deborah was laid to rest on Saturday in her home state Niger.
