Apostle Princewill Basil, the General Overseer of Mountain Mover Ministry International, Nyanya Abuja, has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for raping 14 year – old girl.
Princewill was re-arrainged on a 4- count charge bothering on rape, impersonation and attempt to cause abortion.
The cleric had on July 27 and December 31,2011, forcefully had sexual intercourse with 14- year old Favour Iwuoha, at his church and his house at Nyanya, Abuja, without her consent and impregnated her.
Upon realizing that favour was pregnant, Basil purchased drugs which he forced the minor to drink with the intention of terminating the pregnancy.
When The drugs caused bleeding, he took her to Fountainhead medical centre, Mararaba, Nasarawa State, where an evacuation was carried out to save her life.
