Nigeria places first in Africa and seventh overall at the 2022 Commonwealth Games

After placing seventh overall and first in Africa at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Team Nigeria has brought honor to the country.

Nigeria got a total of 35 medals.

The breakdown is below:
12 Gold Medals
9 Silver Medals
14 Bronze Medals
All-time best record at the Commonwealth Games.
5 Records set — 4 Games Records & 1 World Record.
Ese Brume capped what was a wonderful day for Team Nigeria on day 10 of the Commonwealth Games, securing the Gold medal in the Women’s Long Jump event at the Alexander Stadium.

In the other events concluded on Sunday, Nigerian athlete Elizabeth Oshoba also won a medal as she claimed Silver for Team Nigeria in the Women’s Boxing over 54kg-57kg Featherweight category.
