Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has officially declared his intention to run for president in 2023.
He will run on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, he says.
He made the announcement on Wednesday in Abuja.
When Fayemi is elected president, he has promised to prioritize youth empowerment.
