As we anticipate the planned protests occurring nationwide, whether it would happen or not, it is crucial to remember that we are first and foremost lawyers, with a primary duty to protect human rights. In light of this, I am calling on all of you to be vigilant and prepared within our jurisdiction in Ikorodu.
Action Plan:
1. Be on high alert in your respective constituencies and areas of convenience.
2. Make regular visits to the nearest police stations to ensure that the rights of individuals are not being violated.
3. Always wear the necessary vests and carry your identity cards when performing these duties.
4. Avoid working alone whenever possible. Ensure you have company for safety and support.
5. If you become aware of any arrests, make an effort to visit the concerned individuals within 24 hours to ensure their rights are upheld.
Let us all uphold our professional duty with dedication and vigilance.
