Naked Remains Of Uni Abuja Graduate Blessing Otunla Found In Drain
The body of Blessing Otunla, a graduate of English from the University of Abuja (UniAbuja) has been found.
The deceased was in the nation’s capital from Oyo State to sort her certificate and transcript of results.
Her naked corpse was discovered on the weekend in a drain at Iddo Sarki village, Airport Road. She was reportedly raped and killed.
A relative, Ayobami, lamented Blessing’s fate via his Twitter page ((@dondekojo).
“I lost a cousin, and it’s emblematic of the state of the country. Why do graduates need to travel all the way for a transcript? She traveled to Abuja for her transcript and was found dead in a gutter,” he wrote.
The incident occurred weeks after Iniubong Umoren, a job seeker Philosophy graduate of the University of Uyo (UniUyo), died in a similar circumstance.
The young man who informed her of a job opportunity, Uduak Akpan, confessed to having raped and murdered Ini.
The FCT Police Command has commenced an investigation, according to ASP Mariam Yusuf, the Public Relations Officer.
The spokesperson said the Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma has ordered a manhunt for the perpetrators.
