Reno Omokri has claimed that Nigerian universities need to be revamped as most of what students are being taught are now obsolete.

In a recent post he shared, he stated that majority of these courses have expired and therefore add no value to the development of Nigeria and also to the future of those, who are studying them.

He added it is clearly a waste of time and resources, studying these courses for four years when one can learn a skill and in four years time, one can make progress enough to employ graduates as personal assistants.
He wrote;

Most of the courses taught in Nigeria’s universities have expired. Not only have they expired, they are not relevant to Nigeria’s development. They are a waste of time and money. If we do not modernise our educational system, we will never be a modern progressive nation.

If you study a 4 year course that will have no bearing on your future job or business (which is 60% of courses in our unis), you are better off learning a relevant skill in 6 months. In the 4 years you’d have wasted at university you’d have progressed to where you can employ one of those irrelevant graduates as a PA.
