Labour Party’s Governorship Candidate For Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Denies Rumours Of Party’s Chairman Salako’s Defection To APC

Labour Party’s governorship flagbearer in Lagos state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, GRV, has disclosed that the members of the party and the general public should ignore all rumours that the state Chairman Olukayode Salako has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Rhodes-Vivour made this known in his tweets on Sunday regarding his activities for the day.

He said:

“My Sunday so far, We started the day with the bishop of the Methodist church. Refreshing to see Men of God unafraid of speaking truth to power and rising to the responsibility of holding leaders accountable.

“I then joined my parents at the RCCG covenant chapel, A church I designed and built
When the righteous rule the people rejoice.

“Attended the Elders meeting of our great party, with @PrincessOyefus1 @BOGbadams, Senator onitiri and our great chairman KAYODE SALAKO, ignore all rumours our chairman is ready to make Labour party the next ruling party of Lagos!! #OBIdients #ourlagos.

“I then joined the family of General Olanrewaju for the 8th day prayer for Uncle Gabby Adeagbo a proud bonafide Lagosian. Was lovely seeing my aunt and egbon Tolani Animashaun ,Tolagbe Animashaun, Mr Bank Anthony and aunty Nike Jones. #ourlagos.

“Went to spend time with the powerful support groups of Lagos, to assure them of our full support for the great march we are planning on Lagos. @Jack_ng01.”

The clarification from GRV is coming amidst speculations that Salako who came from the APC has gone back and this was alleged by a Labour Party support group.
