American rapper, Kanye West, has announced that he will be observing a 30-day cleanse, which includes abstinence from alcohol, intercourse, and other activities.

He announced via his Twitter handle on Friday.

The embattled rapper, legally known as Ye, has been under fire over his recent outburst of anti-Semitic remarks; an issue which also led to the loss of his billionaire status.

The remarks prompted Adidas to pull the plug on the wildly lucrative footwear deal that made him a billionaire two years ago.

In his tweet on Friday, Ye shared a list of what he plans to do during the 30-day cleanse and stated that his Twitter handle would remain active.

“I’m not talking to nobody for a month,” the rapper said.

He added, “I am taking a 30-day cleanse. A verbal fast, no alcohol, no adult film, no intercourse. In God we praise. Amen. But my Twitter still lit.”

Ye has continued to suffer losses following backlashes to his anti-Semitic comments on his social media pages. He had to abruptly shut down his school, Donda Academy, for the rest of the year.

The school’s principal, Jason Angell, wrote to parents in an email that the school was closing at the founder’s “discretion.”
