An inferno fire has been reported in another market in Lagos. The fire incident happened at Ijora Olopa Under Bridge.
According to the state emergency management agency, a frozen foods market located under the Eko bridge was found engulfed by fire.
“The immediate cause of the fire could not be ascertained but all the shops located under the bridge were totally burnt,” LASEMA said in an update.
The agency’s boss, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said no life was lost and there is also no record of injuries as a result of the incident.
The combined efforts of the LRT, LRU FIRE, and LASG FIRE are on the ground actively combating the fire. Recovery operation is ongoing.
