GIOTV reports that the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, Niger State, Alhaji Saidu Umaru Namaska, has been confirmed dead.
It was gathered that the 84-year-old Emir gave up the ghost at a hospital in Abuja.GIOTV reports that the family of the late Emir had yet to issue an official statement but a source confirmed the death of the monarch.The death of the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, GIOTV reports, is coming three months after bandits killed his son, Alhaji Bashar Saidu Namaska, during an attack on the monarch’s farm.The son of the Emir was on the farm along Zuru Road in Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State when he was gunned down by the bandits.
