Ahmed Isah, the founder and host of popular radio programme Brekete family, who slapped a woman during an interview has apologised.

Susan had been accused of burning a young girl’s head who suffered severe injuries.

A viral BBC investigative video had captured the moment Isah slapped the woman, and the report resulted in heated arguments online.

However, Isah who is also the owner of Human rights radio on Wednesday appealed to his listeners within Nigeria and beyond to forgive him of such action.

He said his reaction was due to the level of injury and pain suffered by the humiliated six-year old girl who was brought to his office.

“I call as somebody that is ashamed of himself…

“After three months…when they saw that police did not arrest the aunty…they came to me..

“They brought her in the evening after I have treated 200 cases.

“When they brought her, she was not remorseful. That was why I slapped her and I am very sorry for what I did.”
