The 23-year-old took to her Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that she had accepted the proposal of Nassar. She also included a ring in her post.

“Nayel Nassar, you are one of a kind. Absolutely swept me off my feet this past weekend, surprising me in the most meaningful location over one of our many shared passions,” she wrote, alongside a photo of the couple.

“I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives learning, growing, laughing and loving together. Yes, a million times over.”

The engagement comes days after Nassar, 28, had proposed to Gates, sharing a photograph from the moment on his social media handle.

At about the same time when Gates broke the news, Nassar took to his handle to describe himself as the luckiest man in the world.

“She said yes! I’m feeling like the luckiest and happiest man in the world right about now. Jenn, you are everything I could have possibly imagined and so much more,” he wrote.

“I can’t wait to keep growing together through this journey called life, and I simply can’t imagine mine without you anymore.

“Love you more than you can possibly imagine, and thank you for making every single day feel like a dream to me. Here’s to forever.”

Nassar, 28, is a celebrated showjumper, who studied management and economics at Stanford University.

In October 2019, he had seen Egypt qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games after snagging the CSIO4*-W Nations Cup of Rabat in a record-breaking win.

Gates, on the other hand, recently completed a biology degree at Stanford University and is now a med student.
