Engineer Biola Oladapo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last house of Assembly Election for Ondo West Constituency 2 has described the news of his purported suspension from the party as a joke taken too far.

He stated this in a press statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Ondo saying he still remains a bonafide PDP Member.

According to the statement, “In the past few days, Biola Oladapo have been inundated with calls from friends and political associates seeking clarification on the rumours of his suspension from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)in Ondo West Local Government.

“Be informed that the rumour is a figment of the imagination of the peddlers”. They are never well to do.

The statement stated that he wondered how someone who has no legal authority as an executive of the party other than ceremonial ‘leader’ title will go on radio to announce suspension of a financial member of a party who holds ticket of same party without recourse to internal mechanism of the party.

It is no hidden fact that he was never summoned to any panel to enquire or questioned and wonder then how the conclusion was reached that he was guilty of any offence and by who.

The constitution of the party is clear that any member that would be suspended must have first of all been tried and can only be suspender at the ward level.
He stated that he has very smooth and envious relationship with leaders of the party in his ward and the local government except for the very greedy ones who has recently added envy to their baggage.

On the allegation of anti party activities, he wondered when it became a crime for people from the same constituency to interact on the development of their community just because they belong to opposing parties. For as long as the constituency and community joins him with people of the other parties, he will relate with then as partners for development.

He stressed the fact that his choice to withdraw the case at the tribunal against the candidate of the APC was borne out of his conscience and his debt to the generational struggle and not borne out of greed or expectation from any quarter. He stated that the figure of three million naira been brandished as the amount he collected to withdraw the case fall below even the money used for branding alone in his campaign and wondered how having spent tens of millions for campaign and empowerment program, he will settle for a paltry sum of three million naira. This is belittling and shows how lowly the peddler of the rumour are he stated.

Oladapo further stressed that the so called party leader who championed the effort in futility was the same man who had advised that he should not go to the tribunal and wonders why same man wants to be a beneficiary of the move by asking that he should have been informed before the case was withdrawn.

He stressed that the party was not joined in the suite and hence it beholds on him and his conscience to do what is right.
He berated some leaders of the PDP in Ondo west Local government describing them as self serving, greedy and inconsistent where their palm is not rubbed Stressing that the purported suspension was borne out of jealousy and fear of his rising profile within the party and how much followerhip he enjoys.

“Let it be known that his path in politics is in the hands of the Almighty God, who has indeed been very faithful and gracious to him. He is very grateful to God for this.

“Oladapo’s vision in politics is a system that works for everybody, a social and political environment where everybody, every section, and every tribe not only counts but is also seen to count. Leaders must be mindful of this, for any system built on anything less will not endure”, the statement stated.

While he appreciate the party for providing the platform to realise his ambition and dreams in the last election, he reiterated that he will continue to be a loyal party man to the core and abide by the tenets and spirit of the peoples Democratic party (PDP) and will not relent in bringing smiles to the faces of not just the party men and women but residents of his constituency through his Biola Oladapo foundation that has and is still helping people to be self sufficient and many been sent to school on scholarship and this with or without the party shall continue.

He maintained that no amount of intimidation or harassment by any one or group will deter him from his passion of service to humanity and he will continue to lift people of Ondo out of poverty and subjugation.

He appealed to his teaming supporters and followers to keep faith with him and refuse to be provoked in the midst of daunting temptation.

He applauded the leadership of the party in the state and assure of his loyalty to the party.
