Ademola Banks, counsel representing Isese activist, Abdulazeez Adegbola, aka Tani Olohun, said his client will regain his freedom today, Friday, November 17.
Adegbola has been in detention at the Correctional Service in Ilorin since August 17, following his arraignment on five counts of alleged criminal conspiracy, inciting public disturbance, disturbance of public peace, criminal defamation of character, and intentional insult.
On Thursday, November 16, he was granted bail in the sum of N2 million and three sureties in the like sum.
Speaking with PUNCH Online on Friday Banks told our correspondent that his client will be released today.
“The case came up for bail yesterday, and we have been dragging it for some time, but thankfully, we got bail yesterday.
“The conditions are slightly stringent, but we are struggling to comply. We will comply with the bail terms by today, and he will be released on bail. Yes, he will be released today,” Banks said.
