COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 597 Fresh Cases, 17 Deaths
The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 196,487 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated September 7, the NCDC reports 597 new cases with 17 COVID-related deaths. The new cases were reported in the FCT and 13 states – Lagos-204, Rivers-89, Edo-65, FCT-50, Oyo-47, Enugu-46, Ekiti-24, Cross River-17, Delta-15, Gombe-15, Osun-12, Plateau-6, Benue-5 and Kano-2.
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Abia, Nasarawa, Ondo and Sokoto States. Out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 185,159 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,573. Total cases confirmed – 196,487
