Arowolo Olamide Temitope Who Was Offered For Sale In Lebanon Refused To Come Back To Nigeria – Dabiri-Erewa

The Nigerian lady who was offered for sale for $1,000 in Lebanon, Ariowolo Olamide Temitope has refused to return to the country, the Chairman, Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has said.

Dabiri-Erewa said Ariowolo turned down all entreaties to return back to the country.

She disclosed this during an interaction with the Lebanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Houssan Diab.

She said the 31 years old, Ariowolo said she has secured another job and hence she would prefer staying back in Lebanon.

“Not even the plea by her State government, Oyo state could make her change her mind as she insisted on staying back.

“69 of the 79 Nigerians that were due for the returnee to the country were evacuated last week at the expense of the Lebanese government and Lebanese community in Nigeria.

“The remaining 10 are facing judicial issues bothering on alleged theft and attempted murder. Nine are facing theft case and one facing attempted murder,” Dabiri-Erewa disclosed

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ambassador said his country has suspended the issuance of domestic visas for Nigerians.

This he said was part of the efforts to address the issue raised.
