GIOTV gathered that he died of Covid-19 also yesterday, Friday, April 17, 2020.
His death was announced shortly after presidential spokesman Femi Adesina made public the news of the death of Chief of Staff to the Nigerian President, Abba Kyari.
“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020,” he said..
Adesina, however, did not say when Abba Kyari, who has been in the hospital for some time, died.
“Funeral arrangements to be announced soon,” he added.
