A few days ago, queen Anuoluwapo Adeyemi, clocked a year older and used the time to reflect on her marriage with the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

Reflecting on who the almost 81-year-old monarch is to her, Oloori Anu wrote in part, “I also want to thank my Husband, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III, Iku Baba Yeye, Alaafin Of Oyo. JP CFR LLD SAP. Who Has Been The Gamaliel under whose feet I continue to Learn, Who teaches me to be Focus, that ambition Is made with Sterner Stuff and that a person without goals sets before him or she could be regarded as unambitious, that he or she is like a ship without a rudder, a play without a plot and an aimless wanderer in the Voyage of life?

And according to him, “The Road to success isn’t Smooth, Determination and perseverance are the sure armor of Victory”. Long may he reign on the throne of his illustrious ancestors.

Also in another post, Anu, who also has a set of twins for the revered monarch recalls how he teaches her history anytime they attend functions together.

She wrote in parts, “We both attended an event at IGBO_ORA, IBARAPA AREA OF OYO STATE. And these were the questions that went through my mind: ••

“This picture is beautiful why didn’t I post it?”. •• “What was he saying to me in this picture?”. ••

Well, I found an answer to the second question because If You know him very well, he’s a Historian, so he was probably telling me the history of that particular town (Igbo Ora) or the history of Twins festival that we attended.

Throwback to good memories because that was my first time in Igbo_Ora Land, the World recorded the highest multiple births according to United Nations World health organization research assertions. The town is acknowledged as the universal center of the largest number of surviving twins. Igbo_Ora is 80 kilometers (50miles) north of Lagos and 60 kilometers (38miles) west of Ibadan. It was one of the famous towns in the heydays of OYO EMPIRE. The Oba is extremely Loyal and holds the ALAAFIN with high reverence. It was founded in the 16th Century by the Legendary Forefather named LAJORUN. A descendant of ODUDUWA and one of the great-grandsons of ORANMIYAN, also one of the direct children of ODUDUWA.

I hope I’m not becoming a Historian like him 😀, well I’m not, still Learning and tapping from him. Learning new things while at home, staying positive that everything will be fine. You should do the same.”

Knownto have the biggest harem of young ladies as queens, the Alaafin of Oyo also has quite a number of them having twins.
