Popular Nigerian activist Aisha Yesufu had called for a protest to Aso Rock to demand President Muhammadu Buhari’s resignation.

Aisha made this announcement following the recent kidnap of about 300 schoolgirls from Zamfara Government Secondary School, Jangebe, by gunmen.

Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs of Zamafara, Alhaji Abubakar Dauran, confirming the abduction, told newsmen that the kidnappers came in their hundreds, stormed the town, and cart away with the students at about 2 a.m on Friday.

Aisha in her reaction to the unfortunate incident, says the government have empowered terrorist to continue kidnapping and has dumped its duty of protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians.

Taking to her Twitter handle, she wrote, “Terrorists have been emboldened to keep attacking and abducting. The government has been enabled to keep abdicating its responsibilities.

“When we are sick and tired of the atrocities, we will forget our differences and go en masse to the Villa and demand Buhari resigns. “

Recall that Niger State just suffered an abduction of 25 students and 15 residents of the state. Though they have been released, speculations have it that the government paid ransoms to the kidnappers to secure the release of the abductees.

In a viral video that made rounds on social media, one of the bandits’ leaders said the breach of an agreement has led to numerous kidnappings across the country.
