A former councilor of Sabon Gida Ward, Hon. Farouq Hassan has been killed by unidentified gunmen suspected to be bandits few minutes after he arrived at his home on Wednesday night.

The incident happened less than 24 hours after gunmen invaded the house of another former councilor, Babangida Damba, who was shot while his nursing wife and eight-month-old baby boy were kidnapped.
