Young Man Kills His Father In Niger State to Inherit His Properties

A 25-year-old man has stabbed his father to death in a bid to inherit his properties.

Abubakar Muhammed arrested by the police in Niger State, killed his father, Buba Muhammad and dumped his body in a sack.

The incident occurred at the Gidan Madara area, an outskirt of Minna, Niger State.

Abubakar, according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, allegedly attacked and stabbed his father to death at his resident in Korokpan community in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State on October 13, 2021.

The statement added that the suspect conspired with 26-year-old Aliyu Muhammad, who is presently at large, to kill the deceased.

The suspect led police operatives to Tagwai-Dam where the body of the deceased was dumped after being packed in a sack.

He disclosed that he contracted Aliyu for a sum of N110,000 where a deposit of N50,000 was paid and the balance of N60,000 was paid after selling some of the deceased’s properties.

The suspect claimed that the crime was committed so that he would inherit the deceased’s properties.

The case is under investigation at the State Criminal Investigations Department. The suspect and his conspirator will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
