Joe Biden, the Democrat presidential candidate in the United States, US, on Saturday urged Americans to remain calm as votes are being counted.

Biden made the appeal while describing the ongoing presidential election as tough.

In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, the Democrat’s presidential candidate said his followers should be patient and allow the system with regards to counting of votes.

He wrote:

“I know tensions can be high after a tough election like we just had.

“But we need to remain calm. Patient. And let the process work out as we count all the votes.

“And we re-built the Blue Wall in the middle of the country that crumbled just four years ago.”

Biden is currently leading the incumbent president, Donald Trump from votes so far counted.

The Democrat’s presidential candidate had expanded his lead against Trump in the battleground Pennsylvania to 27,130.

However, Trump who was displeased with the result had demanded an explanation.
