Two persons were on Sunday killed by unknown gunmen at Ungwan Taila village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The troops of Operation Safe Haven in a report to the state government said the security personnel arrived in the village when the attackers had killed the two residents.
Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the state Commissioner of Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, in a statement on Sunday explained that the incident was reported by the troops of Operation Safe Haven.
According to the statement, Gov. Nasir El-Rufai expressed regret at the further loss of lives and property from such attacks in the area.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to their families and assured them of the government’s relentless efforts in ensuring the sustenance of peace in the state.
According to the statement, “In the meantime, the troops will continue search-and-rescue operations in the area.
