The UK’s visa application centres in Nigeria were shut today due to the current #EndSARS unrest in the country.
TLScontact, the UK’s partner for visa application, says on its website that it took this step for the safety of staff and visa applicants.
“Due to the ongoing protest in Nigeria and for the safety of both staff and applicants, our Nigeria centres will be closed for 48 hours at a minimum,” the statement says.
The US embassy shut its offices in the country yesterday and issued a travel advisory.
