Two Killed As Suspected Vival Cult Groups Clash In Delta

Two persons were gunned down at about 7:33 pm on Tuesday as rival cult groups clashed at Akara junction along Iyara road in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, GIOTV reports.

One person who sustained gunshot wounds escaped from the scene of the incident.

Details as to why the deceased was shot dead are still sketchy at the time of this report.

It is also not clear if the deceased were members of any of the cult groups.

When contacted for comments, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the report in a telephone chat with our Correspondent in Warri.

She said,” Three people were shot. Two died. One of those who died was already on the wanted list. He was among those who killed somebody too, a cult activity.”
