Campaign posters of the All Progressives National leader, Bola Tinubu have surfaced in Ikoyi, VI and Allen Ikeja areas of Lagos, ahead of the 2023 presidential elections.

The action has sparked anger among many Nigerians especialy young ones and youths.

One Turban Queen wrote “If you vote for this man, it shall never be well with ur generation.”

While One Dupe wrote “Another reason to leave this country or good. Cant wait for the day this man will be so disgraced ehn I swear this when God will finally punish him “

One Emeke wrote “We don’t need these old animals in power anymore”.

This is coming at a time many people from the north and south have called for a president of Igbo extraction.

It is important to note, however, that there has not been a Yoruba president in 16 years, since General Olusegun Obasanjo. The ethnicity of politics in Nigeria means some may see this opportunity as the ‘time’ for Yorubas.

However, Tinubu is not the only popular Yoruba politician that could be a contender even though he is the wealthiest and arguably the most influential.
