Asiawju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has fixed his campaign rallies in Anambra and Imo States on Mondays, amid the ongoing Monday sit-at-home in the Southeast by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
According to the timetable released by the party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), the former Lagos Governor will hold a campaign rally and engage party stakeholders in Imo State on Monday, 21 November.
The schedule of activities also revealed that on Monday, 30 January, the campaign train would move to Anambra State where the APC supporters would rally for Asiwaju.
DAILY POST recalls that IPOB had in August 2021 declared the sit-at-home as a move to protest and demand the release of their leader Nnamdi Kanu who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Although leadership of the secessionist group had announced cancellation of the sit-at-home order, some face-less elements have continued to enforce it till date.
