Three persons on Tuesday morning escaped death during a road accident that occurred around the Majeroku axis, some kilometers to the SASA bridge along the Gbongan-Ibadan express road, Osun State.

According to information by Agnes Ogungbemi, the spokesperson of the Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC), the accident, which involved a white Mack trailer with registration number KTU774XW and a yellow DAF truck with number LSD314XX, occurred around 2:45 am but was not reported until 8:30 am.

Ogungbemi revealed that the probable cause of the crash was overspeeding on the part of the drivers and loss of vehicle control.

She also stated that men of the commission have been on the ground at the accident scene controlling traffic as effort is ongoing to offload the DAF truck loaded with planks, which has caused a total obstruction on the route before it could be towed off the road.
