Tension In Niger Community As Gunmen Abduct 13 Villagers

13 villagers have been abducted by gunmen who attacked Maijaki village in Birnin Maza/ Tashibo ward of Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State in the early hours of Friday, October 21.

The gunmen carried out the attack around 1am on Friday, and it was also learned that they shot one of the villagers.

Sources confirmed that tension is still high in the community following the attack and they called for urgent security presence to forestall calm and stability in the area.

It was reliably gathered that the criminals are currently occupying Kpashimi Forest where they hide to perpetuate their evil acts at any targeted community especially recently, with AK-47 rifles.
