TakeItBack Movement Blames Buhari For Sowore Brother’s Killing

TakeItBack Movement has said that the failure of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), caused the deaths of activist Omoyele Sowore’s brother, Olajide, and many Nigerians.

The group said this in a statement on Sunday, titled, ‘TakeItBack Condemns The Assassination Of Jide Sowore’, by its
Director of Communications, Chidi Nwanyanwu.

Police had confirmed that five other persons were kidnapped during the attack on Saturday.

The victim, Felix, was a pharmacy student at Igbinedion University.

The statement read, “The TakeItBack Movement condemns with the utmost vehemence, the death of Olajide Sowore, a younger brother to our convener, in the hands of assassins and kidnappers.

“We hold the regime of Buhari responsible for the death of Olajide Sowore, as well as several thousand who have become victims of cluelessness and crass ineptitude of the Buhari Junta.

“Recall that the TIB and its fearless convener, Omoyele Sowore, has been at the forefront of condemning the general collapse of security in the country.

“Despite making the North and South a killing field, with killings and abductions taking place on a daily basis, the regime of Buhari continues to reward the perpetrators with beautiful Ransomes, scholarships, and CBN loans.

“Rather than addressing the concerns of insecurity as consistently raised by Omoyele Sowore, the government has kept him away from his family for more than two years. Within these two years, Sowore has been harassed, brutalized, shot at, and imprisoned. This was aside from spending more than five months under illegal detention of the lawless DSS.

“As we send our heartfelt condolence to our convener, Yele Sowore, and his entire family, we demand that the perpetrators be immediately brought to book without delay.

“Forthwith, we admonish Nigerians to rise and guarantee their continued existence by revolting against the spate of insecurity and the tyrannical government of Muhammadu Buhari.”
