Some suspected gun-wielding Fulani herdmen have abducted three Chinese workers and killed a policeman in Akere village, Ifewara town of Osun State.
The gun-wielding herdsmen abducted the expatriates at a mining site in Ifewara town after shooting sporadically in the area.
Ifewara is the hometown of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
It was learnt that the herdsmen were armed with AK-47 rifles.
The incident was confirmed by the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NCDC.
Spokesman of the state Command, Daniel Adigun disclosed that the incident occured on Monday.
Adigun confirmed that the three expatriates were abducted and a police escorted was killed during the incident.
He, however, did not confirm if the abductors demanded for any ransom.
