Seun Kuti Narrates Encounter With Police

Seun Kuti, an Afrobeat singer and the youngest son of Fela Kuti has narrated his encounter with the Nigerian Police.

In an Instagram live session on Wednesday, the singer claimed that he was brought in for questioning by the police and after several interrogations, he was let go because he did nothing wrong.

Seun also added that people should give him a chance to defend himself first before fighting for him.

“If una ever hear say government come hold me say I do something allow me to defend myself, wait for me to be given justice before you fight for me as long as they are giving me a chance to defend myself and justice dey within my reach.

“When police come to surround my house, dem no meet me for house. So they came to my house Friday morning, people dey say I run. I didn’t say anything about the issue because you know why? I didn’t do anything wrong.

“I go to their office on Monday, I go commissioner’s office, I go to their station go face them because I know they have nothing against me. My papa never run so na why I go run. After much talk, they had to let me go because I did nothing wrong,” he said.
