Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat Declare Assets

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, have submitted their Asset Declaration Forms.

In accordance with Paragraph 11 Part 1 to the 5th Schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which mandates political office holders to declare their assets upon assumption and at the end of their term in office, Sanwo-Olu, and Hamzat, submitted their Asset Declaration Forms. By doing so, they have fulfilled Section 185(1) of the same Constitution, which requires political office holders to declare their assets before taking the oath of office.

They were administered the asset declaration by a Board Member representing South West zone, Prof. Samuel Ogundare. The declaration was witnessed by members of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Rt. Hon. Taofeek Abdulsalam, and Lagos State Director of the Bureau, Mrs. O. Popoola.

”My deputy and I have satisfied that requirement before we take the oath of office.

”Thank you Prof. S.F Ogundare, the board member representing South West zone, for administering the assets declaration process,” The governor said.

He expressed his gratitude to Abdulsalam, and Popoola, for acting as witnesses during the asset declaration process.
