Reno Omokri, a former Presidential aide and author has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for requesting a new loan from the senate.
We reported earlier that the President wrote the Nigerian Senate today, seeking approval for $4 billion and €710 million external loans.
He said the proposed loan is to be financed through sovereign loans from the World Bank, French Development Agency, EXIM Bank and IFAD, and will held the Federal Government fund critical infrastructural projects in different sectors.
Reacting to this, Reno Omokri stated that it is coming at a time when the Naira is exchanging at N550 to a dollar.
The former presidential aide who also asked what Buhari is doing with the loans, answered by claiming it is used to finance “useless things”.
