Prison Warders Shot Dead In Imo

Unidentified gunmen have killed two officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) in Okigwe town in Imo state today March 16.

The officers were attached to Operation Search and Flush, a joint security task force established by the Imo state government.

According to reports, the operatives were ambushed by the gunmen who threw dynamite into their patrol vehicle at the Umulolo section of the town.

Two officers were killed on the spot while others were rushed to the hospital.
