Policeman Shot By Bandits In Kebbi State Dies

The policeman who was shot by suspected bandits during a gunfight in Kebbi State is dead.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Abdulqadir Garba Hardo died after being shot in the leg while leading the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tactical Squad in a gun duel with armed men at Tsamiya town in Bagudo Local Government of the state.

The gunshot fractured his bone and he died at a hospital in Gusau, Zamfara State capital on Monday, May 10.

Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has reportedly donated a cash gift of N2m to the family of the late DSP.  He described the late DSP Hardo as a gallant and courageous officer who performed his duty professionally and prayed Allah to grant him mercy and his family the perseverance to bear the loss.
