Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect Impersonating As Military Officer In Bayelsa

Operatives of the Anti-kidnapping unit of the Bayelsa State Police Command said it has arrested a notorious armed robbery suspect impersonating a military officer.

A statement issued on Thursday, through the State’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, said “The suspect Kaizer Freeman was arrested following a complaint by a victim who was robbed of her mobile phone on gunpoint at Agudama, Yenagoa, on 17 January 2023 at about 1745 hours”

Upon a search of the suspect house, the Police recovered one dummy pistol, a pistol holster, a handcuff, and Navy, Army, and Air Force face caps.

The suspect has admitted to the crime and an investigation is ongoing to recover the phone, the suspect will be charged in court after the investigation.
