Some residents of Ogun state on Friday, February 17, took to the streets to protest the lingering scarcity of Naira notes.
The protesters who couldn’t hide their frustration barricaded the Mowe end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and turned back motorists and travelers.
The rioters also set bonfires on the highway causing serious traffic gridlock. Motorists including travelers and commercial buses that normally ply the road were forced to turn back.
