PHOTOS: At Least 86 Shops Razed, Good Worth Millions Destroyed As Fires Guts Yobe Market

86 shops in Patiskum’s main market in Dogo Nini ward, Patiskum Local Government Area of Yobe State, have been razed down by the fire.

Chairman of Traders Association in the Market, Alhaji Nasiru Mato, confirmed that the fire incident which occurred on Sunday, January 8, around 8:36pm destroyed property and goods worth N40 million in the market.

Mato added that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Here are photos from the scene below…
