Suspected bandits invaded a farm company in Anchau town, Kubau Local Government Kaduna State, killed a soldier identified as Mohammed Sani, and abducted two workers.

The victims abducted are identified as Charles Choko, a Zimbabwean national, and Yusuf Aliyu Bello from Kano State.

‎A member of the vigilante in the area who pleaded for anonymity told newsmen at the weekend that the bandits invaded the farm around 1:30 pm on Wednesday, August 24. ‎”The bandits attacked and killed a soldier working in the farm company and also kidnapped Mr. Charles Choko from Zimbabwe and Yusuf Aliyu Bello from Kano state,” he added.

A villager who pleaded anonymity confirmed that he saw a team of security agencies on Friday ‎going into the nearby bush in search of the victims.

A friend of the slain soldier, Abubakar Garkuwa, took to Facebook to mourn him.

“I just lost a friend who was killed yesterday in Anchau, Kubau LG of Kaduna State while on duty, a friend who valued Duty more than love of life. I’ve seen the Duty, Honor, and Sacrifice you made outside the country and within. O Allah, forgive Sani and elevate his station among those who are guided. Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him. Ameen” he wrote.
