Odion Ighalo has been spotted at Manchester United’s Carrington base for the first time after being “quarantined” amidst coronavirus fears.
The 30-year-old had been kept apart from his new team-mates for two weeks after completing his loan move from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.
United loanee Ighalo had been training alone in England while his team-mates were on a warm-weather training camp in Spain.
He was pictured leaving the Lowry Hotel on Thursday, but he was sent off to a private facility with a personal trainer.
Sources at the Manchester hotel have revealed his exclusion during the winter break was merely a precaution.
And the veteran striker was chauffeured into Carrington training ground for the first time this morning.
The Deadline Day loan signing will be available for Monday’s clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Earlier this week, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed: “I never said he was gonna be ready to play on Monday, he’ll be involved with us and he will travel down with us.
“Now he’s out of that two week period, precaution and just a precaution we made and let’s see if he’s involved or not.
“We’ve kept in touch with him and of course we’ve done our own program, he’s done his.
“It was always gonna be a case of him having to integrate having been out in China and needs to get used to the players, and the team, up to speed as quick as he can, he’s been working really hard.
“I think he is probably pinching himself at times at his favorite club at the age of 30 but he’s earned that one and hopefully he impresses us so we can see him play.”
SunSport exclusively revealed that Ighalo plans to dedicate every goal he scores to his late sister Mary.
And he has revealed that he will even have her name inscribed on his boots ahead of his debut.
