Gbenga Richards, a well-known Nollywood actor, has died.
Richards died on Thursday morning, according to reports.

My friend and brother is gone to be with his Creator.

Some of his colleagues and friends had raised funds for his care in 2021.
Ime Bishop Umoh, also known as Okon, and Emmanuel Ehumadu, also known as Labista, both comic actors, took to social media to seek financial assistance for him.
Richards made his first appearance as an actor in 1977, when he represented Nigeria alongside Hubert Ogunde at the Second World Black and African Festival of African Culture (FESTAC).
He also appeared in blockbuster films such as ‘Sango,’ ‘Mirror in the Sun,’ ‘Betrayal by Love,’ ‘Fighting Machine,’ and a slew of others.
