Nollywood Goes Into Mourning As Veteran Actress, Orisabunmi Dies At 60

It’s been reported that Veteran Yoruba actress Folake Aremu, who is popularly known as Orisabunmi, has died at the age of 60.

The demise of the Kwara born thespian comes no more than four months after her ex-husband Jimoh Aliu, better known as Aworo passed away.

President of the Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr Latin, confirmed she died on Tuesday night. Another senior TAMPAN member Tunde Ola-Yusuff also announced the death in a Facebook post.

Orisabunmi became popular in the 80s TV series Arelu, starring her ex-husband and others like Fadeyi Oloro.

Nollywood actors and movie makers have already begun sending tributes to the late actress across social media platforms.
